There will be a special Memorial Day Celebration on Monday, May 29 at 11:00 AM at the Oakwood Cemetery in Jefferson, TX.
This event is presented by American Legion Post 304 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10373.
The program will include the Color Guard represented by Junior ROTC from Marshall High School. The National Anthem will be sung by the Seth Buckner family. Father John Himes, Christ Episcopal Church Jefferson, will also be presenting.
There will also be a special presentation of the meaning of each of the folds of our flag.
The event will close with gun and cannon salute, and taps.
